Hi there, thanks for being here:)
I wanted my first blog to cover the reason on why I hate society.
Most people could agree with me on this concept, but for me its more than just hating modern- day technology and the way of living.
I could go on and on for hours about how screwed up everything, but for your sake, I’ll keep it simple.
I grew up in a suburb that was infatuated with people who craved the feeling of being successful. Everyone around me was consumed in this societal concept that if you don’t go to college, you won’t make it anywhere. Parents put an immense amount of pressure on their kids so they could go to a great school. Kids feared living a life that was out of the norm, so people stuck to their little bubble. Everyone around me was busting their asses trying to create a future for them that they didn’t even know they wanted, it’s just what is expected.
I think that’s the most sad part. These kids grow up trying to do what’s expected of them that they don’t even have the mental capacity to figure out who they really are. Finding who you are is one of the most crucial aspects to life yet so many people frown upon it. The earlier you figure out who you are, the easier life decisions become and the more fulfilled life you will live. Due to the high pressure that this stupid society puts on kids, nobody can figure out who they are.
For me, figuring out who I was and who I wanted to be was the best life changer. For example, I used to dress how everyone else dressed, trying to fit into society. However now, I dress how I want to look. No matter if someone says I look stupid, I love it. Another example, kids try hard in school to go to a fun and good college. For me, I realized maybe college isn’t my thing and if it is, I’ll go far away from everyone and their bullshit. Figuring out the differences that you embody is what makes you strong, unique, and beautiful. People fear that being different will cause them to lose connections and feelings to people. As the world is evolving everyday, people want one another to be different. They crave differences that will allow them to blossom into the person they desire to be. With that being said, don’t blend into society. It’s boring and stupid and every person in this world has a greater purpose than the one they are born into.
Society conforms itself every year. Trends change when major influencers post a new one or when one new clothing item or object gains popularity. Life and people are not supposed to go off what the common person says. Social media plays such a powerful role in teens lives that they grow up looking up to people with everything. By seeing what major influencers have, it makes them want to attain it and then a cycle begins.
I wish that people would take time for themselves to figure out who they are. Figure out your toxic traits, your beautiful traits, your different traits, and your awesome traits. That’s when you can decide what you want to do with yourself and your future.
In my next blog I will briefly discuss some things that have helped me figure out who I wanted to be.
Once again, thanks for being here. I hope you are all happy and healthy.

“Figuring out the differences that you embody is what makes you strong, unique, and beautiful” this was powerful.
